OhioRISE provides behavioral health services to enrollees. This includes Intensive and Moderate Care Coordination, Mobile Response and Stabilization Services (MRSS), Intensive Home-Based Treatment (IHBT), Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF), and Behavioral Health Respite. The OhioRISE Care Coordination Portal (CCP) is part of MyCareSource. This is where you get notices from CCP if you are part of OhioRISE. All of your health records are in one place.

OhioRISE System of Care

OhioRISE focuses on community-based services, care coordination, keeping you in your home, and providing evidence-based services. To be part of OhioRISE, you must:

  • Be enrolled in Ohio Medicaid
  • Be under age 21
  • Have had a behavioral health hospitalization or meet Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) criteria

CANS

OhioRISE uses the Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) assessment to decide who is eligible for OhioRISE. You must get a referral to get a CANS assessment. It can be through CareSource, OhioRISE, a provider, or others.

The CANS steps are:

  1. Referral* to CANS assessors (1 business day)
  2. Assessment to take place within 72 hours
  3. Assessment is reviewed within 10 business days
  4. CareSource will tell you the results in 2 business days
