How can I become a member of CareSource?

We want you to be a CareSource member! You need to apply for Ohio Medicaid first.
- Call 1-800-324-8680.
- Go to the online portalat gov. Follow the prompts to apply for benefits.
- Contact a case worker with the County Department of Job and Family Services.

What services does CareSource cover?

All of your medically necessary care is covered at no cost to you. You will never have a copay for this care. Plus, with CareSource, you get more. View your member handbook for all the services you can get.

What is My CareSource MyLife ?
- CareSource MyLife lets you manage your personal CareSource plan on-the-go. Use it to change and find a provider, access your member ID card, view claims and plan details, and much more.

Do I need to renew my CareSource benefits each year?
- You need to renew your Medicaid coverage each year. CareSource cannot renew for you. Each person has a different renewal date. When it is time for you to renew, you will get a packet in the mail from the state. Fill out the packet and return it as soon as you can. You must take action or you will lose coverage.

What if I miss my deadline to renew my benefits?
- You have 90 days to complete your renewal from the end date of your Medicaid. If you miss this deadline your health care benefits will end. You will receive a letter of termination.

Where can I get help with the “redetermination” or renewal process?
- Call 1-800-324-8680. Or visit your County Department of Job and Family Services. You can also learn more on our renewal page.

How do I get a new CareSource member ID card?
- You can get a new member ID card by logging in to your My CareSource account and clicking “Request ID Card.” You can also download our mobile app and view your ID card on the go. Or call Member Services for a new member ID card.

How do I get a new CareSource member handbook or provider directory?
- Request a new ID card through MyCareSource. Or call Member Services for a new member ID card.

How do I select or change my primary care provider (PCP)?

MyCareSource lets you find and choose a new doctor. You can change your PCP to another provider up to once a month. Or use the Find a Doctor tool to find all providers in our network.

What if I have a health question after hours?

Call the CareSource24® Nurse Advice Line at 1-866-206-0554 (TTY: 711) if you have questions about your health. We are here 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays.

How can I get help in another language or format?
- Call Member Services at 1-800-488-0134(TTY: 711). We can get you sign language interpreters or interpreters in the language you speak. We can explain this information in English or in your primary language. Interpreters can help you talk with us or your providers. You can also get materials free in other formats. These formats include large print, braille, or audio. Let us know. We can help.
