“We’re excited about the unique opportunity for this experienced and dedicated leadership team to transform health care delivery and outcomes for Nevadans enrolled in Medicaid, particularly in rural areas of the state,” said Scott Markovich, executive vice president, markets and products at CareSource. “Jayme and Tracey’s focus on practical, innovative solutions combined with CareSource’s nonprofit mission will make a real impact on the health and wellbeing of Nevadans.”

Puu will lead as chief executive officer of CareSource Nevada and serves as senior vice president of national network and strategic sourcing for CareSource. Puu brings nearly 25 years of experience driving health care transformation through strategic initiatives that prioritize quality, accessibility and equity. In Nevada, she leads CareSource’s efforts to develop comprehensive partnerships with providers, policymakers and community organizations to address the state’s most pressing health care needs.

Before joining CareSource, Puu held executive leadership positions at Hawaii Medical Service Association Blue Cross Blue Shield of Hawaii, where she led successful transitions to value-based payment models. Her strategic focus has consistently delivered higher care quality and accessibility, empowering providers to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care.

“Nevada is home to diverse communities, each with its own unique health challenges,” said Puu. “I’m honored to lead CareSource Nevada to collaborate with our exceptional providers and community organizations to create innovative solutions that ensure every Nevadan has the opportunity to live a healthier life.”

Dr. Green will lead CareSource Nevada’s clinical initiatives, focusing on innovative solutions to improve health outcomes and advance the organization’s mission of healthier futures for all. With nearly 30 years of experience in Medicaid and health care leadership, she previously served as chief medical officer for Nevada Health and Human Services and vice dean at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Dr. Green is board-certified in family medicine and earned her MD from the University of Nevada, Reno.

“CareSource doesn’t take a cookie-cutter approach to delivering what our members need. Instead, we work to build meaningful partnerships with community organizations and providers to ensure members have the benefits and services that drive the best health outcomes for them,” said Dr. Green. “The needs in Elko aren’t the same as in North Las Vegas, Ely or Tonopah. CareSource’s strong community focus and nonprofit mission and approach gives it the ability to focus on the unique needs of different areas and populations, and I’m honored by the chance to serve Nevada in this important way.”
