Selene Martin joins CareSource Military & Veterans

Leading advocate for military and veterans’ affairs to drive strategic initiatives.
(DAYTON, Ohio – Oct. 3, 2023) – CareSource, a nationally recognized nonprofit health plan, announced today the appointment of Selene Martin as associate vice president of corporate affairs for CareSource Military & Veterans. In this executive-level role, Selene will lead execution and ongoing development of programs and strategies aimed at growing CareSource Military & Veterans™ to help improve the health and wellness outcomes for military service members, veterans and their families.
With over a decade of experience in corporate responsibility, strategic philanthropy and military affairs advocacy programs, Selene brings a proven track record in designing and implementing strategic initiatives that drive collective impact and improve quality of life for families. Her leadership and passion for building, managing and developing high-performing teams has been instrumental in driving positive change within the organizations she has served.

Selene previously served as a corporate responsibility director at USAA, where she led the national military strategic focus areas, including mental health and wellbeing, veteran suicide prevention and economic mobility. Her extensive experience in building relationships with leading national military nonprofits, while advocating for their missions, have been instrumental in driving positive and meaningful impact for the military community.

Martin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Wright State University and a Certificate in Corporate Citizenship Management from Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship. She is passionate about supporting the military community, a commitment deeply rooted in her family's history of service.
