HAP CareSource supports workforce development through partnership with Jackets for Jobs

TROY, Mich. (HAP CareSource) — HAP CareSource, a mission-driven health insurance plan, is advancing workforce development by supporting Jackets for Jobs, an organization that helps job seekers build confidence and financial stability. Through a $5,000 contribution, HAP CareSource is ensuring that more individuals, including many Medicaid members, have access to professional attire and job readiness training. This support is part of Jackets for Jobs' 25th-anniversary event being held today in Detroit—Clothed in Confidence: 25 Years Strong—which will bring together community members and leaders, corporate partners, and the growing number of people served by the program.

The partnership focuses on creating a lasting impact on individuals seeking employment and economic mobility, particularly those in the Medicaid population, by providing professional attire and job training to build confidence. HAP CareSource partners with nonprofit organizations, such as Jackets for Jobs, to help address several areas of social determinants of health, including workforce development.
