CareSource Partners with CSS Health to Help Members Get Vaccinated

Partnership Focused on Boosting COVID-19 Vaccination Rate Among the Medicaid Population

(DAYTON, Ohio – June 10, 2021) – CareSource, a nationally recognized nonprofit health plan, announced Thursday they will team with CSS Health in order to increase COVID-19 vaccination rates for Medicaid members across Ohio to ensure all CareSource members have access to local pharmacist administered COVID-19 vaccinations.

“Pharmacists have played an instrumental role in providing COVID vaccinations. By offering our community pharmacy partners this MTM incentive opportunity to address patient questions and concerns we make it more convenient for our members to access the vaccine,” said Steve Ringel, CareSource Ohio Market President.

Working together, CareSource and CSS Health will provide a seamless platform for the pharmacist health plan connection. Helping provide patient accessibility to local pharmacists has provided a rapid increase in COVID-19 vaccination rates nationwide. CareSource and CSS Health will focus this effort on supporting and connecting with independent pharmacists across Ohio.
