DAYTON, Ohio (CARESOURCE MILITARY & VETERANS) — CareSource Military & Veterans (CSMV), an organization dedicated to improving health care access, delivery and outcomes for service members, retirees, veterans and their families, recently sponsored the Military Influencer Conference (MIC) in Atlanta.

Selene Martin, CSMV associate vice president of corporate affairs, moderated the Military-Connected: Georgia's Organizations Collaborate to Support Its Service Members, Veterans and their Families panel. The panel brought together leaders dedicated to providing innovative solutions aimed at addressing the challenges facing military families. CSMV’s sponsorship of the conference and panel session underscores its focus on improving the quality of life for our military community.

"Participating in MIC 2024 reflects our commitment to improving health care access and delivery for the military community,” said Mike Braham, president, CSMV. "As a health plan dedicated to serving this state, we curated this panel to highlight the significant resources available for military and veteran families. The panel was a valuable exchange with organizations dedicated to supporting the military community across Georgia.”

In its seventh year, MIC convened over 2,000 influencers who shape and support the military community, including service members, veterans, spouses and family members, entrepreneurs, advocates, brands in the military space and thought leaders. MIC is renowned for providing attendees with an immersive, three-day experience celebrating the intercept and interaction of military service, social impact, entrepreneurship and advocacy.

“I’m honored to have been a part of MIC 2024 and contributed to the crucial discussion on how organizations can come together to create solutions that address the challenges faced by military families,” said Martin. “MIC influencers are incredible leaders at the forefront of providing essential services, from health care and childcare to employment and education. Whether you are part of the military community or an ally, MIC has something for everyone, including valuable insights and practical tools to support those who serve, while fostering meaningful connections with key influencers in this space.”

The session brought together impactful Georgia-based organizations dedicated to extending support to the military community. Jarrad Turner Sr., CEO of Veterans Technology Solutions, Kim Scofi, president and CEO of United Military Care Inc., Zack Knight, founder of ATLVets, and Greg Frey, vice president of operations at Avalon Action Alliance served as panelists.

MIC was held Sept. 30 to Oct. 3 at Signia by Hilton in Atlanta, Georgia. For more information, visit https://militaryinfluencer.com/.
