ATLANTA, GA (August 22, 2023)- CareSource, a mission-driven Medicaid plan serving more than 500,000 Georgians, is excited to announce a partnership with Attend Behavior, a mobile platform designed to empower parents and caregivers of children with autism spectrum disorder or other behavioral conditions. This strategic collaboration aims to equip caregivers with the tools and knowledge needed to effectively engage with their children and promote positive behaviors.
In the upcoming pilot program scheduled to launch this fall, CareSource will provide 50 members with complimentary access to the Attend Behavior program. The impact and effectiveness of the program will be closely monitored through the integrated portal.
Jason Bearden, CareSource Georgia president, expressed his enthusiasm about the program stating, “Our partnership with Attend Behavior aims to provide crucial support and education to our members who care for children with unique needs. This innovative tool empowers providers and clinicians to guide families towards success, while offering caregivers the essential resources they need to effectively support their children through behavioral challenges. Additionally, Attend Behavior fosters an environment for parents to connect and bond with their children.”
Attend Behavior provides an evidence-based, scientific approach, delivering bite-sized interactive lessons, videos, and coaching tools to caregivers. The platform provides real-time guidance, enabling caregivers to implement behavioral techniques that promote positive behaviors and skill development in their children. Moreover, healthcare providers gain access to Attend’s clinician portal, which facilitates remote support throughout the learning process, monitors caregiver engagement, and tracks behavioral outcomes.
“Ultimately, our goal with Attend Behavior is to empower caregivers so as to help them accelerate their children’s skill development and promote positive behaviors, which is particularly important for families who have children with specialized needs,” said Dr. Stewart Pisecco, Attend Behavior founder and CEO. “We are grateful for CareSource’s support and are excited to partner with them to provide this innovative program to families in Georgia.”
The learning content in Attend Behavior is based on the RUBI Parent Training Program, an evidence-based parenting program that hast been shown to improve outcomes for children with autism spectrum disorder and included in Oxford University Press’ Programs that Work Series.
CareSource and Attend Behavior will work with provider partners to identify members who will be selected to be part of the initial pilot program.
