DAYTON, Ohio (CARESOURCE) - CareSource was recognized by Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) for being an Ohio Inclusive Employer for our commitment to supporting individuals with disabilities in the workplace. OOD is the state agency responsible for empowering Ohioans with disabilities through employment, disability determinations and independence.
This marks the second year in a row CareSource has been recognized by OOD. Last year the organization received the Governor’s Inclusive Employer Award.
“CareSource is committed to creating a workplace without limitations,” said chief human resources officer, Jennifer Dougherty. “Over the past two years we have made significant progress to advance our work and commitment to disability inclusion. Examples include our Disability Inclusion Action Committee, our new national disability inclusion advisory board and a focus on creating new learning experiences. We are working to promote disabilities as a positive and natural part of the employment experience and are honored to be recognized for this important work.”
“Congratulations to CareSource, a 2024 Ohio Inclusive Employer that recognizes the immense value that workers with disabilities bring to their workforce,” said Kevin L. Miller, director of Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities. “By creating a workplace that is inclusive of skilled Ohioans with disabilities, CareSource helps to realize Governor DeWine’s vision of an Ohio where no one is left behind.”
