DAYTON, Ohio (CARESOURCE) - CareSource, a nationally recognized nonprofit managed care organization with more than 2 million members, has the insurance industry’s best internship program according to Vault, the leader in data-driven employer rankings and reviews. The distinction comes from Vault’s 2024 survey of almost 20,000 interns at nearly 300 companies.

"We are honored to receive this recognition from Vault and are proud to be first in the insurance category in the 2024 rankings of the 150 Best Internship Programs,” said Jason Rodd, director of talent acquisition at CareSource. “This award reflects our commitment to empowering emerging talent and providing impactful, real-world experiences. We believe an internship should be more than just a learning opportunity – it should be a stepping stone that inspires and equips future leaders.”

CareSource offers a 12-week summer internship for rising college juniors and seniors with specializations in several areas, including actuarial science, marketing, data science, information technology, operations and human resources. CareSource interns work on real projects for the company and have access to an assigned mentor to guide their progress through the program.

“A record number of employers and students participated in this year’s survey, providing us with valuable insights about the most recent class of interns across an incredibly diverse range of companies,” said Eric Stutzke, SVP & general manager of Vault. “Interns want to gain valuable experience, receive a full-time offer and work for a company that promises career advancement opportunities.”
