CareSource Continues Second Year of Coat Donations with Partners across Ohio
November 18th, 2020 | 2 min read
CareSource is continuing to jump-start the holiday season with a Covered in Kindness initiative across Ohio to donate coats to community organizations for distribution to children in need. Additionally, CareSource is aligning with existing community partners to provide much-needed immunizations, food and even diapers at many of the 30 events.
“CareSource is thrilled to continue to keep Ohio’s children warm for a second holiday season,” said Steve Ringel, CareSource Ohio Market President. “Our partnerships throughout the Ohio regions are critical as we work to ensure children remain healthy with holistic care services.”
We’re continuing our drive to see #OhioCoveredInCare as we distribute 1000 children’s coats across Ohio. Thanks @BGCCbus for helping us give a few more kids a warmer winter. pic.twitter.com/sQok5KbVJB

At one of the first events in Columbus, CareSource donated over 150 coats to the YMCA Hilltop-West to distribute to families in a New American community who utilize the services of the center.
“The Community Health Team for The YMCA of Central Ohio was honored to be chosen as partners with CareSource,” said Nadine Rinehart, Community Health Coordinator at Hilltop YMCA. “As part of The Early Childhood Resource Network, it is our pleasure to serve our communities to the best of our ability.”
While the partner agencies like the YMCA identify the members of the community who need a coat, events like the one in Columbus allow CareSource representatives to reach out to members who may not have previously engaged with their health insurance to answer questions about their benefits and CareSource Life Coaches.
