April 3rd, 2023 | 2 min read
Parents and caregivers at two Walmart locations in Atlanta were able to access family planning, pregnancy and baby care resources during Walmart Baby Days events. Teaming with CareSource, a mission-driven Medicaid plan serving more than 500,000 Georgians, the Baby Days events were part of an initiative to improve Black maternal and infant health outcomes in Georgia. Mothers and caregivers were offered in-store opportunities to learn more about select baby products and local community resources.
“We had a wonderful weekend connecting our moms and babies with resources and information that may help them in their journeys,” said Taura White, CareSource senior director of Population Health. “I want to thank all the of community partners, suppliers and sponsors that made the event a tremendous success.”
CareSource and Walmart held Baby Days Plus, a two-day experiential event in Riverdale and Decatur. The event included a scavenger hunt, Care Specialist presentations, panels, sweepstakes giveaways, and more!
