Jayme Puu, CEO, CareSource Nevada
Based in Las Vegas, Nevada, Jayme Puu serves as the chief executive officer of CareSource Nevada, leveraging nearly 25 years of extensive experience in health care and government programs. In her role as CEO of CareSource Nevada, Puu leads the nonprofit’s efforts to transform health care in the Silver State. She focuses on improving health outcomes and addressing health disparities through CareSource’s provider networks and vendor partnerships.
Prior to joining CareSource, Puu held executive leadership positions at Hawaii Medical Service Association Blue Cross Blue Shield of Hawaii, including senior vice president of internal operations and vice president of provider services, where she was instrumental in driving health care transformation and advancing VBR payment models. Notably, Puu spearheaded the successful implementation of a payment transformation reimbursement model for 90% of primary care providers, transitioning from volume-based to value-based payments. This initiative aimed to incentivize superior care quality, enhance accessibility and empower primary care providers to deliver comprehensive patient-centered care.
Puu holds a bachelor’s degree in health care administration from the University of Phoenix; she has served on various boards including Aloha United Way and ‘Ekahi Health; and was a member of the Hawaii State Health Planning and Development Agency Certificate of Need Review Committee. She currently serves on the Community Advisory Board for the University of Nevada Las Vegas School of Public Health.
