Marcy

Marcy was taking care of everyone except herself. Marcy’s adult daughter and three of her daughter’s young children live at her house and are dependent on her. She loves her family, but her responsibilities started to take a toll on her mental health.

Marcy’s CareSource JobConnect life coach came into her life at just the right moment. CareSource life coaches are trained to help you practice self-care. With her coach’s help, Marcy started to understand that it was important to tend to her own needs. Her life coach helped her learn how to set boundaries. Now Marcy has more balance in her life. She is also helping her daughter get her own apartment.

Ben

During the holiday season Ben Shaw worked a lot, but he saw it as a gift. Ben had been trying to find a good job for a long time. “Sometimes I got discouraged because I got no callbacks,” he said.

Then Ben enrolled in CareSource JobConnect and got a free life coach that helped him improve his resume. The JobConnect team also brainstormed with Ben for new career paths.

Ben loves talking to people and needed to avoid physically demanding work, so the team suggested he work in a customer service call center. JobConnect recommended him to their call center partner, and now he is working full-time. He has even been promoted!
