Provider Portal Key Features OverviewCareSource PASSE™ has developed a Performance Improvement Project (PIP) to increase metabolic monitoring for children and adolescents who are prescribed antipsychotics. This training provides a general overview of PIPs and Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) measures, as well as specific information regarding this project. The specific information describes:
- the population of members included in the PIP,
- the risks to those members and the reasons for monitoring,
- the specific HEDIS measure (APM) utilized for measuring performance,
- and provider responsibilities and best practices.

Use of the CareSource PASSE Provider Portal to submit prior authorization requests ensures that CareSource PASSE receives all necessary information to review a request. This edition of the Provider Education Series instructs the viewer on the use of the Procedure Lookup Tool, prior authorization submission process via the Provider Portal, and how to check case status.
This training covers the current prior authorization process, its future state, as well as valuable resources CareSource PASSE providers can utilize to help best serve our members.
