Important News About Your CareSource Coverage

The Next Generation MyCare Ohio program started January 1, 2026. MyCare Ohio is a managed care program designed for Ohioans who receive BOTH Medicare and Medicaid benefits.

Starting April 1, 2026 and continuing throughout the year, the program will become available statewide. The goal is to improve health and wellness outcomes by focusing on individual needs and creating personalized care experiences.

Important Dates to Know:

• • January 1, 2026: Next Generation MyCare Ohio plans available for people who qualify in the 29 counties where MyCare Ohio is currently available. See the phase map from the Ohio Department of Medicaid.
  • April 1, 2026: Next Generation MyCare Ohio will expand to Sandusky, Erie, Henry, Williams, Defiance, Paulding, Fayette, Fairfield, Licking and Ashtabula counties.
  • May 1, 2026: Next Generation MyCare Ohio will expand to Preble, Darke, Miami, Shelby, Champaign, Logan, Van Wert, Putnam, Hancock, Allen, Mercer, Auglaize, Hardin, Seneca, Huron, Wyandot, Crawford, Richland, Ashland, Marion, Morrow and Knox counties.
  • June 1, 2026: Next Generation MyCare Ohio will expand to Ross, Vinton, Highland, Pike, Jackson, Gallia, Brown, Adams, Scioto and Lawrence counties. 
  • July 1, 2026: Next Generation MyCare Ohio will expand to Holmes, Tuscarawas, Carroll, Jefferson, Coshocton, Harrison, Belmont, Guernsey and Muskingum counties.
  • August 1, 2026: Next Generation MyCare Ohio will expand statewide to remaining counties including Hocking, Perry, Morgan, Noble, Monroe, Washington, Athens and Meigs.
